I like to give my children’s teachers a gift at the end of the year. This year I decided that we would go with a totally consumable gift. Having been a public school teacher myself I can honestly say that, while every gift from a child is special, you can only have so many apple collectibles. With that in mind, here is what I came up with.
I made a double batch of “Best-Ever Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies” which may in fact very well be the best chocolate chip cookies I have ever eaten, or at least made.
We found that a sandwich sized zip-top baggie will hold one dozen cookies and a snack sized bag will hold six. I designed a bag topper and printed them out.
While I could have used jars, I decided that it would be one less thing for the teachers to have to worry about. No washing of a jar and no possibility that my canning jars would get thrown in the trash. (gasp!)
While I know many people are already out of school, maybe you might need a last minute gift for a teacher. If you do, I am offering the bag topper as a free PDF file. Just click on the picture above or this link. Teacher Cookie Bag Topper
