Sometimes there is a method to my madness. I took down a set of mini blinds a few months ago and kept them. On Monday, I started planting our garden and needed some plant markers. I remembered the old mini blinds and set to work.
I cut the strings and pulled out a few slats. I cut them at about 10 to 12 inch intervals. I used scissors to make one end pointy, and then wrote on them with a permanent marker.
I stuck them in the ground to mark my rows and that was it. So, if you have an old mini blind lying around and a garden, this might just work for you, too. (If you live close to me and need some I have plenty.)
