Flower Bulb Planting Help from “Bulbs. Dig, Drop, Done.”

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Bulbs. Dig, Drop, Done. for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

My favorite flowers are daffodils. When I was a little girl we had a patch of daffodils on our hillside. Every year in late winter I would check our little hill to see if the daffodils were growing. When I would see those green little shoots coming up I knew spring would not be far away.

Even today, I still enjoy watching for my daffodil bulbs to peek through the ground. I know that fall is the time to start thinking about planting new flower bulbs, but I really didn’t know much else about bulbs until I checked out the site Dig, Drop, Done.

This site is a wealth of information about planting bulbs. I never thought about how easy it really is to plant flower bulbs. I had also never thought about planting bulbs in containers indoors, but that would be an extremely easy way to enjoy flowers longer than cut flowers. Even a non-gardener, or someone who grows weeds better than flowers, could do that. :)

When I was perusing the site I watched some videos that portrayed three different women who enjoy planting flower bulbs. The videos provided a fun way to learn more about planting bulbs. I would have to say that Marcy, the Supermom, was probably my favorite. I think I identified with her because she is a busy mom like me. I often think I don’t have time for flower gardening, but the site shows how easy planting bulbs can be. You can check out the videos here.

Curbside Chaos is a site that works in conjunction with Dig, Drop, Done. There you will find the Garden Guru tool located in the bottom left of the screen. This tool will help you figure out which bulb is perfect for your home depending upon where you live. Here’s how it works.

Step 1: Pick your country. Step 2: Pick your location within that country. Step 3: Choose the type of bulb you want to grow. Step 4: Check out the Planting Guide that shows you how to plant your bulbs.

Here is what my planting guide looked like.

I love how the Planting Guide spelled out exactly what I need to do in order to plant more daffodils, or other bulbs, in my yard.

Here is something else that is cool about Curbside Chaos. They are giving away a $5,000 yard makeover! All you need to do is submit a photo of your yard. The lucky winner will not only receive a $5,000 yard makeover, but they will also receive a visit from Taniya Nayak (@TaniyaNayak on Twitter).

If you win, Taniya will give you tips on the best way to update your yard. She will give you creative ideas for incorporating flower bulbs in your landscape. How cool would that be? My yard could sure use a makeover.

And if all of that isn’t enough, for every share on Twitter, “Bulbs. Dig, Drop, Done.” will donate $1.00 to Rebuilding Together - the Nation’s leading nonprofit, working to preserve affordable home ownership and revitalize communities.

Now go ahead and visit www.digdropdone.com to learn more about planting bulbs and visit Curbside Chaos for the chance to win a makeover for your yard.
