Yesterday, I posted a picture on Facebook of a small blanket I had crocheted for charity and someone made the comment that she didn’t know how I manage to do as much as I do.
I kind of LOL’d out loud when I read that because I had been thinking the past few months that I wasn’t accomplishing anything and that I’m barely able to keep up with everything.
With a husband, 5 kids, kids in sports, starting a new business, blogging, and running a household I felt like I just wasn’t organized. At all.
Do you ever have those days (months, or even years) where you think everyone else has it together except you?
It didn’t really occur to me until yesterday’s Facebook comment that anyone really thought that about me.
I started thinking about the fact that when I blog I get to pick and choose what I share with you. You don’t see every bit of my life.
Really, that’s a good thing, but it also may be misleading.
Even though I have shared before about my overflowing laundry piles and my sink full of dirty dishe those posts have been buried by craft, recipe, and gardening posts that probably make it seem like I am supermom.
Well, I’m not.
For years I have been on a quest for organization but I just never seem to get there.
While I am in a chaotic season of life raising five kids ages 2-14 I still believe that I can be organized.
In the fall of 2011 and 2012 I wrote a series called 11 Weeks to a More Organized Life & Home. I really felt like it helped me be more organized.
Yet, because I tried getting organized right around the holidays, I slacked as each new year wore on.
Last year I felt like I had taken a step backward and never got to take those two proverbial steps forward.
So, I’m back on the organizational bandwagon and I am going to share my progress right here.
If you want to follow along with me on my quest for organization I would love to have you tag along on my journey. You don’t even have to pack a bag. 🙂
I will be posting about each week’s task on Sundays and my thoughts about how the week went on Saturdays. In between I will be posting on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. So, if you aren’t a subscriber now’s the time. 🙂
Will you join me?
What areas of organization do you struggle with?
