While we still have another month until summer is officially over, summer feels like it is over because school started last week. I still have a few things on our summer bucket list that I would like to do with the kids and a few things that we won’t be able to get to. Even so, I think we had a pretty great summer.
One of the things on our list was to host a pool party. On Sunday, August 12th we hosted a pool party / baptism / cook-out for members of our church family.
The weather was pretty nice, the kids all seemed to enjoy the pool and waterslide, four people were baptized, and the adults all enjoyed the fellowship. I would call that a success.
I feel blessed that we have a home and yard that are big enough to host such a fun event. Here are some pictures of my five children enjoying the afternoon.

We had a great day and I am glad we had this opportunity to host approximately 60 people for an afternoon of fun and fellowship.
