It is scary how quickly this summer has gone. I’m so glad I created a summer bucket list to help keep me focused on doing some fun things with my kids.
One of the items on our list was to attend the county fair. My oldest two took three projects each and my youngest three enjoyed looking at the animals.
I’m proud of the hard work my oldest two children did and they were rewarded for their hard work in the way of ribbons. However, I think they learned some important life skills like time management, seeing a project through from start to finish, and hands-on skills that will help them later in life (sewing, woodworking, electricity, etc.).
We enjoyed attending the fair and are also looking forward to attending the state fair because two of my oldest daughter’s projects get to go.
Have you attended a local fair this year?
