Playing with Sticks

July 1, 2010 By Jackie Leave a Comment

March 2010

I love to watch my children playing outside.  They vary in age from nearly 11 to 2 1/2, so they obviously have varied interests.  However, give them some sticks, water, grass, and a bucket and they can entertain themselves for a long time.

In this day and age where there are many toys and gadgets available to our children, I find it so wonderful to see my children delighting in such simple objects and play.  Whether they are making me some special soup or a meal fit for a king, they love playing with things they find in our yard.

Who said kids need to be entertained at all times?

What do you do to encourage your child to use their imagination and not rely on toys or gadgets to have fun?
