My oldest son has been asking for a ski mask (I know it is hot, but he is planning ahead.). Since I learned to crochet earlier this year I decided to try my hand at crocheting ski masks for my three oldest kids for Christmas.
I found a ski mask pattern that I thought would work. And, through some tweaking, I came up with the hats pictured above.
I mostly followed the pattern, but I had to make the hats bigger than the child’s size and do a few other modifications. I think the kids will like them.
I crocheted these ski masks using acrylic yarn which will allow them to be washed easily.
Update: My kids loved getting these ski masks for Christmas. Here is a picture of James trying his out along with the fleece mittens and pants I made him for Christmas, too.
I think the kids will get a lot of use out of these this winter.
