Reflection

With the unseasonably warm temperatures today brought us, we spent some time outside this afternoon walking, playing, and laughing.

I took my camera along and enjoyed snapping a few pictures. When I walked over to our pool, I noticed how clearly the trees reflected on the surface.

I decided to look up the word reflection in the dictionary and found it has several more meanings than I realized. In the instance of this picture, it means the production of an image as if by a mirror. Consideration of some subject is another meaning.

When we were outside earlier, I was soaking in the sounds and sights of God’s beautiful creation…reflecting upon all of his blessings.

I started thinking about what kind of reflection I show to the world. Am I mirroring Christ or is His image clouded out by the cares of this world? I want to reflect God’s love and shine for Him.

Proverbs 27:19 19 As in water face reflects face, so a man’s heart reveals the man.

It’s funny how taking and looking at a picture, that appears to be upside down, could cause so much reflection.

Here are the picture details. I took the picture using an automatic landscape setting, and I reduced the file size.
