A Stormy Morning

We awoke at 5:30 this morning to the sounds of a spring-like thunderstorm. The weather was fairly turbulent for a few hours which made Joseph proclaim, ”I don’t like storms! Stop raining!” Soon after a clap of thunder made him jump onto my lap. As soon as the storm passed he cheered, “Yay, it stopped raining. Whew!” I love that little guy.

This afternoon I decided to put a telephoto lens on my camera and step outside to snap a picture of the view from our living room window. There had been so much rain that the field across the road was flooded. Thankfully, we live on a hill and not in that field. :-)

Did you have storms where you live?

Every time you write something about the weather and post a picture, it looks just like where I am. You must live close! I’m ready for the weather just to make up it’s mind. I’m getting whiplash from trying to figure out what coat to wear… ;)

We must indeed (Midwest?). The past two weeks have seen such up and down weather we can’t figure out if it is winter or spring. :) Maybe we will just bypass winter and have spring arrive early. Although my children will be disappointed if we don’t get at least one snow where they can sled and build a snowman.

I’m in the Ohio Valley. It’s so cold here now compared to the 50+ a couple of days ago! :)

Same here. We must live close.

Jackie, you all have a great view from your yard. What a blessing! I love thunder, unless it scares me half to death. :-)

Yes, we do have a pleasant view. I don’t usually mind storms either, but Joseph was a little concerned.

We have storms in the summer. Yesterday we had snow. My daughter, lives in Southern Indians and said she woke up to tornado sirens yesterday.

Well, we don’t usually have storms like that in January. I hope your daughter didn’t have any damage from the storm.
