Today marks the beginning of the fourth week of my quest for organization. So far I have been reading from the Bible, trying to get 8 hours of sleep each night, and getting “dressed for success” each day.
This week my goal is to exercise every day. I’m not going to place time limits on this or start an exercise program because I find that I end up failing when I place too many restrictions on exercise.
For example, this summer I started the C25K program and only made it through 3 or 4 weeks because the plan went from a little running to a lot of running from one week to the next. It seemed too much too fast for me and I ended up giving up.
While I used to run up and down a basketball court with ease during high school I don’t get near the exercise I used to, unless you count running after 5 kids as exercise. 🙂
I’m not exactly sure what I will be doing just yet, but I am thinking of doing lots of stretches, walking up and down our stairway, and doing some light calisthenics.
Eventually I may end up trying some sort of exercise program but for now I think just making sure I am up and moving at some point each day is a good start.
Another goal I have is to start building up to drinking 8 eight ounce glasses of water each day. In order to meet that goal I am going to add one glass of water each week so that by the end of eleven weeks I will be drinking eight glasses of water each day.
While I mostly only drink water each day, I am not drinking as much as I should since the weather is colder so it will be good to work up to eight glasses.
Do you exercise and drink enough water each day? If not, then I would love to have you join me this week. I plan to post on Facebook after I have exercised each day so I would love to have you follow me there, too.
Also, I have created a checklist for this week that includes these new goals as well as the previous three weeks’ goals. If you want to print out the checklist just click the picture or link below.
