My 2nd grade son recently had an assignment for school and it was to disguise a turkey so that he wouldn’t get turned into Thanksgiving dinner. This is what my son and I came up with.
We turned the turkey into a hunter.
We decided to put a picture of my son in place of a turkey face. Then we used some camouflage fleece to cover the body and even made some fleece boots and a hat.
Finally, we glued silk leaves in place of the feathers so the hunter looked like he was in the woods.
I haven’t seen what other students in his class came up with, but I thought this was a fun family project.
Maybe you would like to do it with your child. The possibilities are endless. You could turn a turkey into a ballerina, a doctor/nurse, a ball player of some type, etc.
Here is the link to the printable turkey that we used: Turkey Coloring Book Page.
Have a wonderfully Happy Thanksgiving. What are you doing to celebrate? I will be hosting about 25 people and it should be a lot of fun. 🙂
