We are still crafting our way through The Jesus Storybook Bible, and this week I am sharing an idea to go with the story of Abraham.
I chose to have the children make star pictures to help them remember that God told Abraham that his family would outnumber the stars someday.
This story is yet another example of God making and keeping His promises. My favorite part of the story is how tickled Sarah was when she was told she would have a baby. Nothing is too difficult for God, even giving a baby to an older woman who never thought she could have one.
To make the star paintings the children dipped a star cookie cutter in white paint and used it to stamp stars all over a black piece of construction paper. They loved this activity and hopefully they will remember something about the story when they look at their pictures later.
