Today I wanted to share about a craft we did for another story from The Jesus Storybook Bible (affiliate link). This time I am sharing about a craft we did for Jonah and the whale.
I found a Jonah printable at Artistic31Mama.com but it appears that the site isn’t working anymore.
I printed everything on blue paper and then cut out all of the pieces. I helped the children assemble everything and let them color the whale if they wanted.
I found that the craft wasn’t overly easy to tape together, but the kids worked hard to help me put them together.
There is a small plastic zip-top bag inside that holds Jonah inside the whales mouth. The kids had fun pretending to swallow Jonah and then spit him out onto dry land.
There were some other cute Jonah crafts that I contemplated. Considering that the craft I used isn’t available anymore maybe you will like one of the crafts below.
- Jonah and the Big Fish (printable)
- In the Belly of a Whale (lots of ideas)
- Paper Plate Whale
