We finished another book on our summer reading list almost 2 weeks ago but I have been dragging my heals with regards to posting about the book. We started Winnie the Pooh by A.A. Milne about a month ago. While we were no vacation we didn’t read at all, so that meant that we didn’t finish it as quickly as I had hoped.
The main reason I have been reluctant to post about the book is that I was having trouble coming up with an activity to go along with it. My younger kids liked the book and I am glad we read it, but I just wasn’t feeling very inspired.
This morning I started thinking about it and decided I just needed to let it go and realize that not everything I post is going to be the most revolutionary idea or “pin-worthy”. Honestly, why should that matter?
I read the book to my children.
We enjoyed it.
We had quality time spent as a family reading a classic book.
The end.
🙂
Have you ever read this book to your children?
P.S. I almost forgot to share something important about the copy of the book that I read to my children. Check out the inscription.
My grandma worked at a library when I was little. She often ordered books when the library would order them. My cousins, my brother, and I received books for various special occasions when we were young and this book was one of them. Check out that date. I am not sure what occasion it would have been for, but I was 1 year old. (Yikes, I am old. 😉 )
