I hope you are enjoying your summer so far. Last week we got to check a couple of things off of our summer bucket list when we went on a short vacation to a nearby state park.
We accompanied my husband to a conference so he didn’t get to enjoy as much of the park as the kids and I did, but we were glad we got to all be together at least part of the time.
We had a wonderful time walking the trails, riding a horse for the first time (my 3 boys), splashing around in an indoor water park, visiting the nature center, enjoying time together, and more.
While this vacation was much shorter and closer to home than our trip to Disney & the ocean last year, it was still fun and I know we will all treasure the memories we made.
If you are wondering why I didn’t include any pictures of all of the fun we had at the water park it is because most of the pictures my mom took turned out too dark or too fuzzy, and I didn’t think to take my camera another day to take more.
Oh, well. My husband always says I take too many pictures. This time we will just have to have the memories of how much fun we had.
At least one picture turned out.
That’s one of my two oldest sons splashing in the water after going down the waterslide. 🙂
Have you taken a vacation this summer, or do you plan to?
