Well, summer is almost officially over and I haven’t posted about everything we did this summer. However, it also doesn’t look like we will get to finish everything on our summer bucket list.
Even so, we did have a great summer. Today I wanted to share about the pool party we hosted for our church family a couple of weeks ago.
We had a great time hosting a pool party/baptism service/cookout. This was our 5th time to host this event. Now that my kids are getting older they have even more fun with all of the kids that come over.
While it is a lot of work, it is also a great way for us to break out of our comfort zone and show some hospitality. Since we don’t have big birthday parties for our kids this is a great alternative.
The great thing was that lots of people stayed to help us clean up, so we didn’t have to stay up late or deal with a mess the next day.
Our kids were great helpers and I think hosting a big party like this is a great learning experience for them.
