I love using my crockpot to cook certain cuts of meat. They end up so moist and tender. Often times I will make round steak with gravy or swiss steak in my crockpot.
However, I sometimes just put salt and pepper on the meat, add a small amount of water, switch the crockpot on low, walk away, and assume it will all go according to plan.
Most of the time it does go according to plan. When I recently made this meal Joshua asked for seconds and said, “I just can’t help myself. This is such a good meal.” Music to a cook’s ears. 🙂
I often serve roast beef (or roast venison) with mashed potatoes, a vegetable, and a fruit. The veggie pictured above is turnip greens with diced turnips.
Do you ever use your crockpot cook a roast?
