November is over and we have entered the month of December which is always a busy month for our family. With 2 birthdays, an anniversary, Christmas, and New Year’s coupled with basketball games and Christmas programs we are in for a whirlwind month.
Before I get carried away with December I thought I would share a little bit about November.
Last week was an especially great week because my kids and husband not only had 5 days off but we had a great time hosting Thanksgiving. There was plenty of food, card games, playing, and visiting.
I only took a few pictures after we ate when all of the food was cleaned up and most of the table decorations were cleared away. It definitely wasn’t a Pinterest worthy spread, but, you know what? We had a great time despite the fact that nothing looked like it belonged on the cover of a magazine.
We have so much to be thankful for and I want to make sure I am focused on thankfulness as we enter this busy holiday season.
While I normally have several pictures to share, I am only going to share two this month. The first is of my three youngest kids who had a great time painting one afternoon. I love it when an activity can keep them engaged and prevents little squabbles from popping up.
We decorated our Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving and put up our outside lights on Saturday. We really enjoy decorating for Christmas.
Joshua was especially excited because he got to put the angel on the tree this year.
Even though I didn’t take many pictures with my good camera I did post several pictures on Instagram, including quite a few craft progress photos. If you want to follow me there or just read my captions head over to Instagram.
I really dropped the ball on posting in November. However, like I told an online friend recently, real life trumps my online life every time. Here are the posts I did manage to write in November.

Just for fun, what was your favorite Thanksgiving dish this year? Mine was my mom’s pecan pie that she made dairy-free especially for me. 🙂
