This week was another busy one for my family. Between a first basketball game for James, a choir concert of Julia’s, church play practice, Joshua’s birthday, and Joseph getting an x-ray of his foot we still managed to find time to make gingerbread houses and enjoy some quality family time.
While busy can be good, I work very hard to keep our schedules pared down so that we have plenty of down time. However, it seems like the month of December is always very hectic.
I need a slow motion button. 🙂
Anyway, here’s a look at our week, in pictures.
Even though we had Joshua’s birthday party a week ago, I saved his presents from us so that he could open them on his actual birthday. I also made his favorite meal of Tacos on his special day. He was very excited.
James had never played a real basketball game in his life before Tuesday. I don’t want to brag, but he scored half of the points for his team.
Now, before you go thinking he is a star, our team only scored 4 points. However, you would have thought James won the state finals after he made that basket. 🙂
I do want to clarify about Joseph’s foot x-ray that I mentioned earlier. He stubbed his toe so badly on our dining room table that I was sure it must have been broken. However, I am happy to report that it wasn’t and it is starting to look a lot better. Plus, he isn’t limping anymore so that is a good thing.
It was funny when Joseph saw the x-ray pictures of his foot he thought the bones were actually white paint on his foot. 🙂
Friday night we had a family night of decorating graham cracker gingerbread houses, eating homemade pizza, and watching a Christmas movie. It was wonderful!
I hope you had a great week, too.
