My Week in Pictures (11-10-12)

I hope you had a great week because I sure did. Not only did I make two Thanksgiving dishes (Sweet Potato Casserole & Ham) that are now in the freezer, but I also got quite a few things organized in the house.

I really feel like my weekly goals are helping me to be more motivated. It is amazing what reading the Bible, getting enough sleep, getting dressed, and exercising will do for you.

Of course, these smiling faces should be all the motivation I need to do my very best each day.

These 5 children are so full of life and energy and I truly enjoy every minute, even when they are exasperating me. My life must have been pretty dull before God blessed me with these silly monkeys. :)

I have to say one one thing about the picture at the bottom left of the collage. Last week I posted a picture of my husband holding Janna. He decided that he would try to recreate the moment with Julia. We all had a good laugh about that one.

Did you have any moments that made you laugh this week? I think we would all enjoy some laughter after the tension and drama surrounding the election, don’t you?

I really appreciate your good attitude towards mothering, Jackie. I have a very different life than you, probably just due to a different phase of life. However, I kept reading your blog for some reason. I realized its an encouragement to me to see what my life could look like in ten years. I am not organized enough and I don’t even WANT to freeze a thanksgiving dinner, and I am the kind of person who fusses over a REALLY tasty green bean casserole without condensed soup! I have a three year old, a daughter Janna’s same age, and a current mid way pregnancy. Its my sixth pregnancy, and we hope maybe to get four or five kids total. Your life seems to abound with blessings overflowing indeed. I wanted to let you know you are an encouragement, and in ten years, I might be able to be in your same phase of life and enjoy your blog for a totally different reason. Thanks for being faithful in your positing and really staying true to yourself Its so easy to see your love of family and motivation and personality through your writing. Great work!!

Oh, Bethany. Thank you so very much for this comment. Sometimes I wonder why I write in this space. It is comments like yours that keep me going. While I do feel so very blessed I have known the pain of miscarriage like you do. I have also known the craziness of having lots of little people running around. :)

I do want to say that I didn’t get to this phase in my life easily or all at once. Also, I don’t write my blog posts because I hope that everyone will do things the way I do (Like use condensed soup once a year to make green bean casserole. ;) ). I write them as a way to keep track of what is going on in my life and to hopefully encourage at least one person. I am so glad you see what I write as an encouragement to you. I so appreciate you following along with me on this journey.

      Take care!
