This afternoon my son made this letter I igloo craft.
He colored all of the capital I’s on the igloo to form a capital I.
I hand drew this igloo a few years ago and, while it isn’t perfect, he had fun with it.

When he was finished coloring we cut the igloo out and glued it to a piece of construction paper.
We also watched a video of how real igloos are made. It was pretty interesting and gave us an idea of how we could build our own igloo out of marshmallows.
We didn’t use any sort of glue because the igloo we saw being built in the video was only made of snow.

My son stacked marshmallows up, two high, and then we had to figure out how to put a roof on our igloo.
We used toothpicks to hold marshmallows together and laid them across the top of our igloo.
This activity was so much fun we took our igloo apart and made it again.
Of course, we had to eat a marshmallow or two as well. 🙂
