Today I want to share some of the letter D crafts Janna completed a few months ago along with links to all of the posts I have shared through the years pertaining to the letter D.
This duck made from a capital D turned out so cute. Janna loves to paint so I let her start by painting a letter D that I printed from DLTK which I had enlarged.
After the paint dried I cut out the letter and Janna glued it to a piece of construction paper along with an orange construction paper beak, a couple of feathers and a wiggly eye.
The idea for this cute craft came from No Time For Flashcards.
Janna also made a lowercase letter D craft.
She started by painting a lowercase letter D that was an enlargement of the letter D printable from DLTK.
After the paint was dry I cut it out but left the right side of the circle in the middle attached so that it could serve as a door.
I printed out a clip art dog and Janna glued it under the letter d. She then glued both to a piece of construction paper.
She really liked this craft and loved playing hide and seek with the dog. 🙂
The idea for this craft also came from No Time For Flashcards.
Janna got to do even more painting when she used a q-tip to make dots on this letter D paper from DLTK. This page will go into her alphabet binder.
In addition to these crafts we read letter D books (see below), played with her plastic dinosaurs, and found things around our house that begin with the letter D.
