Janna has really been enjoying the preschool activities we have been doing. She has been telling all of us what sound the letter B makes and loves painting.
Today I want to share some of the activities we have been doing and share links to some of the letter B activities I have done with some of my older kids.
Janna really loved painting with a balloon. She first painted a large letter B and then she painted many other papers just for fun.
We turned the capital letter B into a bumblebee by adding black construction paper stripes and wings as well as pipe cleaner antennae.
The idea for this activity came from No Time for Flashcards.
Another craft we made was a lowercase letter b butterfly.
I first had Janna paint a piece of paper with whatever color of paint she wanted. When the paint was dry I cut out a wing shape.
She then glued the wings to a piece of construction paper along with a black lowercase letter B, two black antennae, and a wiggly eye.
The idea for this craft came from Totally Tots.
Janna also made a letter B page for her alphabet binder. She first traced a capital and lowercase B with blue paint.
When the paint was dry we squirted “blobs” of glue around the letters and she placed buttons on them.
I just love all of the B items we were able to use for this activity (blue, buttons, and blobs of glue). 🙂
