Back in December I shared my mom’s sugar cookie recipe and a fun idea for making a cookie dough gift set.
Well, today I wanted to show you a way to enjoy sugar cookies without all of the work of rolling out the dough and using cookie cutters.
When our refrigerator quit last week I found that I still had some frozen sugar cookie dough. I didn’t have time to roll out the dough, so I simply cut the dough into slices.
I put the slices onto parchment paper lined cookie sheets, added a little colored sugar to the top, and then baked them as normal.
While they aren’t as cute as cut out sugar cookies, they taste delicious.
