Thanks to some much needed rain and milder temperatures, our garden has really grown since last week.
I have picked our first produce of the year, lettuce. We are going to have it for supper as Italian tossed salad. Yum!
I decided to show a different view of our main garden spot this week. I stood on the pool deck to take this picture and the next one.
Based on the way things appear to be growing right now, it won’t be but a few more weeks until many of our veggies are ready to pick.
Can you see what is growing on my zucchini plant? I have 2 tiny zucchinis. My kids are so excited.
Even though Janna really didn’t want to stand still this morning, she obliged me long enough so that I could get a picture of her next to the corn. It has been fun seeing how much it has grown in comparison to her these past few weeks.
The cabbage is starting to form heads and the plants have become monstrously large.
While I am pleased with how my front garden spot looks, I can’t say that I feel the same about the potato patch. There are sweet potatoes growing in amongst the weeds, at least I think they are still there. I guess I better try to take care of the weeds before they choke out the plants.
Well, that’s a look at how our garden is growing this week. How is your garden growing?
