Canning Jar Pin Cushion

September 30, 2009 By Jackie Leave a Comment

Our weather has started to feel like Fall the past few days. With that change in temperature I have felt the need to get crafting for Christmas.

I found this tutorial recently and thought I would give it a try yesterday afternoon. I ran into a problem when I realized that the lid wouldn’t actually screw onto the jar for some reason. So, I took everything apart and tried again. I think I figured it out and it turned out really cute. I put a few buttons in the bottom of the jar, so this pin cushion can serve double duty. It is going to be part of a sewing themed Christmas present for my daughter.

I also saw a cute idea today over at Cluck Cluck Sew. I am going to try it with a lone tea cup we have that has no saucer. I will let you know how it turns out when I get it finished.
