What’s New?
We have had a very busy couple of weeks and blogging has pretty much been put on the back burner. Here are just a few of the reasons I haven’t posted a week in review post in 3 weeks.
Two Saturdays ago we went to the state fair to see Julia’s sewing and child development projects. She got a blue ribbon on her child development and a blue ribbon plus a special merit ribbon on her sewing.
We had a great day walking around the fair and also going out to eat and to a Goodwill outlet. Lots of fun!
Last Saturday we spent the day getting ready to host a swimming party/baptismal service/cookout for our church. We had a great time with everyone here last Sunday afternoon and feel blessed to have the ability to enjoy time with our church family in this way.
On Wednesday my four oldest children went back to school. I now have a Freshman, a 5th grader, a 3rd grader, and a Kindergartener. I think they had a great first 3 days of school and I am praying they have a wonderful year.
It is never easy to send my kids out into the world in this way. It was especially hard to send my little Joseph to school. He has hardly been away from me these 5 1/2 years of his little life.
However, we are trying to raise our children to not only be followers of Jesus while at home and at church, but also to be the Light out in the world. I am so proud of these kids of mine and I pray God will draw them closer to Him each day.
In addition to all of the events I mentioned above I have been busy with canning some produce we have been given (such a blessing since much of our garden was a bust) as well as designing a few websites. Hopefully, I will get on a more regular blogging and crafting schedule soon.
