What’s New?
Good morning! I hope you have had a great week. We had an awesome week. 🙂
My husband took three vacation days at the start of the week and we enjoyed being home Monday and Tuesday playing and doing various outdoor projects, like weeding the garden.
One thing we did was have an impromptu cookout. Since my husband wouldn’t let me have a party for his 40th birthday, this was as close as we got. (I’m pretty sure he didn’t want a party because of the anniversary and surprise birthday parties we hosted this spring.)
On Wednesday we took a day trip to a nearby children’s museum and had a great time. When we had gone a few months ago it was so packed that it was hard to do any of the activities. This time it felt like we had the place to ourselves and the kids had a blast.
My husband went back to work on Thursday and the kids and I have been doing some odds and ends around the house the past few days.
I told my husband he needs to figure out a way to work from home because I enjoyed having him home so much. After 17 1/2 years of marriage I guess that’s pretty good to feel that way, huh? 🙂
Picture of the Week
Speaking of our cookout, I just love this picture of all of my boys.
My husband taught them how to properly set up a campfire and they were all very helpful.
