Good afternoon! I hope you have had a great week. We have.
This week’s picture was taken last weekend of my youngest two boys.
They worked so well together painting the volcano we have been working on for the last couple of weeks.
This picture represents what I wish these two looked like all the time — working together and getting along.
However, with 5 kids, there are times when moods aren’t always what I would hope them to be and disagreements ensue.
While it isn’t ideal when there are arguments over toys, I am trying to look at them as opportunities for me to show my children better ways to deal with each other.
This leads me to the first of the links I want to share with you today.
- On Lysa TerKeurst’s Facebook page yesterday she shared a great way to talk to your children when they aren’t acting so sweet. While I don’t think it would work with little ones, it would be a great way to deal with older children and teenagers so that you don’t explode in anger over their actions.
- I am interested in learning more about how people detox their bodies and this list of 28 natural ways to detox seems like a great place to find more information.
- This year I plan to grow more herbs and this article on how to grow herbs indoors has some great tips.
- If you need to do any caulking, like in your bathtub, Apartment Therapy has some great tips including using an ice cube to smooth out the caulking. I always get so messy when I use my finger so I will definitely be giving this a try.
- I am also going to be trying this tip for using lemons and cloves to keep flies away when eating outdoors this summer.
Finally, if you are in a spring cleaning mood then you might find this week’s Bundle of the Week set of books helpful.
