New Year’s Day.
In reality, it is just a day like any other day, but for some reason each January 1st feels like a chance to start over and make a fresh start. It makes me feel like I have a clean slate.
Oftentimes I create long lists of goals and tasks I hope to accomplish in the new year. After a few months I begin to feel like I will never be able to check everything off of my list.
This year is going to be different. I have chosen to focus on a word this year and let it be my goal. Surely I can manage to do just one thing this year.
The definition of joyful is experiencing, causing, or showing joy.
God has so richly blessed me and I want to make sure that I am living out the definition of joyful.
I want to be joyful in the day to day.
I want to cause others to feel joyful.
I want to be joyful so that others can see it exuding from me.
Is this a tall order? I won’t know until I try.
There will be times when being joyful won’t be possible I am sure, but I want to try, even in the hard times.
Will you join me in being more joyful this year?
