When I was a girl my grandma told me that she had a trick for making her dish soap last twice as long. You see she, and I seem to have inherited this trait, used too much dish soap.
So, she diluted her soap.
I have been doing the same thing most of my adult life, and it is a great way to save money.
I just make sure I always keep an extra dish soap bottle on hand. Then, when I need more dish soap, I simply fill it halfway (sometimes even less) with dish soap and then fill the rest with water. I give the bottle a shake and then it is ready. (Optional: Cute toddler to help.)
So, if you are like me and have a lead foot so to speak when it comes to using dish soap, dilute it.
