My Week in Pictures (3-3-12)

This has been quite a week. First, I am so heartbroken for all of the people who have suffered from the effects of the deadly tornadoes that occurred this week. The tragedies that are being faced make my problems seem miniscule.

We have had problems, though. Joseph had such a high fever on Sunday and Monday. At one point the thermometer just said “hi”. The highest besides that the thermometer actually registered was 105.9 degrees. That is scary to me because he had a febrile seizure when he was one. Tonight after 4 days with no fever, he has a temperature of 101. I am not sure what he is fighting off, but so far he has had no other symptoms.

I have had a terrible sore throat for several days and felt pretty bad on Wednesday and Thursday. And, my sweet little baby girl has had unexplained hives nearly every day this week. Needless to say, we could use some prayers, too.

In spite of all of that I was able to take at least one picture each day, with the exception of Thursday when I felt the worst. Here is a glimpse at the better parts of my week, in pictures.

Monday

Joseph wanted me to take a picture of him with his shape puzzle. This was the second day of him having a high fever and he had been having a little break from feeling so badly. He’s such a sweet boy.

Tuesday (& Sunday)

Julia got her hair cut on Tuesday afternoon. She has fixed her hair the same way for years, usually by putting in a headband. I took her picture on Sunday afternoon and again on Tuesday. I think she aged a couple of years in those 2 days. It was her idea and she picked out the style. I think she is beautiful on the outside and in no matter how she wears her hair, but I do like he new look.

Wednesday

Janna was having a great time with Joseph on Wednesday morning. He was singing “If You’re Happy and You Know It” with her and helping her do the motions. Since then she has been clapping quite a bit on her own.

Friday

I hope to get a tutorial posted to show you how I made a skirt for my niece’s birthday. Until then, you will have to be content with this little sneak peek. You gotta love sock monkeys! :)

Saturday

Janna thought the balloons at her cousin’s party today were pretty fun. This week, in addition to unexplained hives, she has had a new tooth come in and learned how to stand up while on the floor, without holding onto anything. I am sure she will be walking before long.

I am praying this coming week is a much better one for us. How was your week? Did the storms roll through your area?

  • Rachel E.

Wonderful pictures of a beautiful family. I do hope you are all feeling better soon.

Thank you, Rachel! Joshua was sick yesterday, but seems to be better today. Joseph appears to be back to normal and Janna hasn’t had hives for 2 days. Praise the Lord! Take care.
