My Week in Pictures (3-10-12)

I hope you have had a great week. I am so happy to be feeling better, and I am hoping that my husband gets better soon. He hasn’t been feeling well this afternoon and evening.

In order to keep things quiet for him this evening, the kids and I are having a slumber party in the living room. We watched a movie and now everyone is asleep except me.

Here’s a peek into the rest of our week, in pictures.

Monday

We awoke to find a blanket of snow covering the ground on Monday morning. The sunrise was so pretty and everything was calm and still. While I love a good snow, I was glad it didn’t stick around. I am ready for spring.

Tuesday

Would you believe that this was the very next day after a snowy Monday? We even wore lightweight jackets. We weren’t complaining though.

Joshua decided to take advantage of the nicer weather and hit a wiffle golf ball around the yard. He is a lefty, but my husband encourages him to try to use his right hand when playing sports. I guess he is hoping Joshua will be a double threat, or something like that.

Wednesday

Sisters. I wonder sometimes what these two will be like when they both are adults. I pray they will always be close.

Thursday

I was trying to change the sheets on our bed Thursday evening when a push up contest broke out amongst the men in our house. I think my husband won because he was the only one of them who could do a push up while someone was on his back. I think he may have had an unfair advantage, though. Joseph thought it was the funniest thing ever.

Friday

Every spring when I was a little girl I would watch for the first daffodil to bloom because that meant spring was just around the corner. I still do the same thing and this week is when they started blooming. These blooms of sunshine are my absolute favorite flower. They are a yearly reminder that the harsh winter doesn’t last forever, just like the hard times in our lives.

Saturday

When Janna starts clapping we can’t help but join her. Why can’t we always stay so excited and enthusiastic life? God’s blessings should make us want to clap and smile all the time.

    Fun pictures!
So glad you are feeling better. Strep throat can be pretty nasty. If our bug doesn’t go away real soon I am thinking we are going to have to cave and go get check out too.

Thanks, Abbi! Yes, strep is nasty. I waited too long, but thankfully all is well again. They said after 9 days of untreated strep your kidneys can start shutting down. Yikes. I hope all of you get better soon and start feeling well again. Take care.
