I hope you had a great week. Ours was busy, but good. Here is a glimpse at our week in pictures.
Monday
Joseph had just enjoyed a chocolate cupcake and then decided it was time to take a rest. He was oblivious to the fact that he had chocolate all over his face.
While I ended up wiping his face off right after I took this picture, I couldn’t help but think about the fact that in just a short time he will be concerned with how the world sees him. It would be nice if we could always be confident in God’s love and in ourselves so much so that we wouldn’t be self-conscious about our appearance.
This is something I am going to be dealing with as the mother of an almost teenager. I am daily trying to make sure I am building up my daughter’s self-confidence. I read an article today that fits with this topic and I wanted to share it with you. ”Why I Tell My Girls They’re Beautiful” The comments were really good, too.

This is Joseph’s hand in mine. Very appropriate for Valentine’s Day. :)

Wednesday
While my husband was reading a story to James and Joshua I quickly snapped a picture. I love capturing moments like this when no one is concerned about the camera and they are just lost in the moment.

Thursday
Now that Janna is pulling up on everything, the trains and tracks have been under attack. Well, at least that is what Joseph thinks. He jumped up on the train table to try to rescue his tracks from Janna, who had absolutely no idea she was doing anything wrong. She just wanted to have fun like her big brother does. :)

Friday
My sister-in-law and my niece (Look at those beautiful eyes!) came to visit yesterday morning. The girls are 5 weeks apart and were very busy the entire time. We got a little taste of what twins would be like while we watched these two cuties empty a couple of my kitchen cabinets in no time flat.
My niece is walking now and had fun following Joseph around. I can’t wait to see what kinds of things they will do when Janna starts walking. They are so much fun!

Saturday
In spite of the snow we had earlier in the week, I have flowers blooming. They are a reminder that spring is right around the corner.
