Last week I shared about a free online quilting class where you can watch videos and get patterns to make 2 quilt blocks each month for 10 months. Then you can learn how to put your quilt blocks together to make a full-size quilt.
Well, I didn’t want to share something with you that I wouldn’t do myself. So, yesterday I made the two quilt blocks for January. I decided to use some quilter’s flannel that my husband’s aunt had given me.
The blocks were fun and easy to put together and were unlike any quilt blocks I had made before.
I didn’t make the block on the right exactly like the directions, but since it was called a “wonky pound sign” block I figured it didn’t matter. :-)
I am anxious to see what February’s blocks are like. If you would like to sign up for the free class, it’s not too late. Here’s what to do.
- Click the banner at the top of this post.
- Sign up for a Craftsy account if you don’t already have one.
- Click on the tab at the top of the website that says “Online Classes”.
- Scroll down until you find the graphic for the “Craftsy Block of the Month”.
- Enroll in the free class and then watch the video.
