When I first saw the tutorial for leggings with an attached skirt on Make It & Love It I knew they were something I needed to sew for Janna and my niece.
I used some knit fabric I had in my stash and, although I didn’t follow the tutorial exactly, I think they turned out pretty cute.
Janna seems to approve. :-)
I used some scraps to make the matching hair clip. If you want more details about how I made it, check out my hair clip post.
This is the set I made for my niece. I haven’t heard if they fit, but hopefully she can wear them around the house at least.
I will try to get a post together soon of all of the homemade Christmas presents I made in 2011. My next project is to mend all of the holes in the knees of Joshua’s blue jeans. He’s as hard on the knees of his pants as James is on his socks. As my brother says, socks with holes in them are Sunday (Holy) socks. He’s too funny!
