2012 Homemade Christmas Gift Recap

January 11, 2013 By Jackie 8 Comments

Today I am sharing links to all of the homemade gifts I made for Christmas in 2012. I really felt like I didn’t make as many gifts as I had hoped to but, after looking at all of the projects I made, I feel pretty good about what I was able to accomplish.

There are still a couple of gifts I haven’t posted about and I will be adding those to this list when I do.

So, without further ado, here are the gifts I made for Christmas.

Crochet

Crocheted Scarf & Ear Warmer (Free Patterns)

Crocheted Earflap Hat (Free Pattern)

For the Kids

Mini Felt Crayon Roll

Felt Marker Roll & Personalized Sketch Pad

Play Felt Christmas Tree

Little Red Riding Hood Doll

Food Gifts

Homemade Cookie Dough Gift Set

Taco Seasoning Mix in a Jar (Free Printables)

Cashew Brittle

Pretzel Brittle

Gifts for Adults

Personalized Pocket Calendar (Free Printables & Video Tutorial)

Gift Card in a Jar

Handprint Family Tree Wall Art

Bird’s Nest Necklace (I made this for my SIL who has 2 children using this tutorial.)

I also wanted to share a picture of my oldest four kids before we opened presents on Christmas morning along with a picture of the aftermath.

All of the homemade gifts I made seemed to be well-recieved. My kids especially liked their marker rolls and have drawn some nice pictures with them.

Did you make any homemade Christmas gifts this year?

You did well with all your hand mades. I hope to accomplish more hand made gifts in the future. Maybe some day I’ll be a bit more organized.

Thank you, Rachel! If I waited until I was completely organized I would never make anything. Don’t let lack of organization stifle your creativity. :)

You made quite a few fun gifts! Thanks for sharing the ideas. I always love finding homemade gift ideas. I made quite a few homemade things but then we ended up buying more than I would have liked too. THis year I plan on sticking to homemade a bit better.

Thanks, Abbi! You had some great ideas this year, too. We bought more than I normally do as well. I think it was because I didn’t start early enough. I plan to do better this year, too. :)

Some great ideas here! I love the Little Red Riding Hood doll and the crocheted hat. I keep thinking I should learn to knit or crochet, but I run out of patience too quickly when I try. I just make friends who can do it instead 😉

Thanks so much, Gretchen! It’s always good to have friends. :) Thanks for stopping by.
