On Wednesday and Thursday I shared two tutorials with you for making some accessories for your sewing room. Here is a picture of my daughter’s sewing space in her room (She’s 12 by the way.).
She already has the sewing machine cover and bulletin board, but doesn’t know about the other two accessories. They are going to be Christmas gifts.
I thought I would put links to all of the tutorials in one post just in case you wanted to make any or all of the items for gifts, or your own sewing space.
Sewing Machine Cover
Recovered Bulletin Board
No-Sew Embroidery Hoop Wall Pocket
Pocket Placemat for a Sewing Machine
I do have to share something about the fabric I used for all 4 of the projects pictured above. When I ordered fabric to make my new diaper bag back before Janna was born, I knew I wanted pink and brown polka dot fabric.
I ordered what I thought was the correct fabric, but when it arrived I realized I had ordered the large dots instead of the medium dots. I ordered the right fabric the next time, but kept the fabric with the large dots thinking I would surely find some use for it.
I think it is safe to say I have found some pretty good uses for it. At least I hope my daughter thinks so. :)
The wall pocket and pocket placemat pictured above are a gift set for someone, who will remain nameless as of this moment, on my Christmas list. I spray painted the embroidery hoop with black paint and I think it turned out pretty cool. I hope this person likes the set. And, if she happens to ever want a sewing machine cover, I hope she will let me know. ;)
