Changes

I trust you all had a wonderful Christmas. In spite of all of the rushing around to finish last minute projects, I think we all had a great Christmas. We celebrated with both sides of the family and with some friends at various times throughout the past week. There have also been plenty of times for just relaxing which I think we have all enjoyed.

I wanted to share a picture of my children on Christmas Eve in their new pajama pants/nightgowns. There is just something about new pajamas at Christmas, so I have made it a tradition to buy or make them.

This year I made the boys matching flannel pants. The girls got flannel nightgowns that I made using a cut-off t-shirt for the bodice. The flannel was given to me by my husband’s aunt and was such a blessing. I believe it is quilter’s flannel. Sometime soon I will try to post exactly how I made everything.

Speaking of posts, if you visited the blog in the past few days you probably saw that it was in maintenance mode. I changed themes and was trying to make some changes. I felt like I had no idea what I was doing and didn’t make all of the modifications to the blog I wanted to. However, I didn’t want to be offline for any longer, so don’t be surprised if things look different in a few days than they do now. I will keep tinkering until I figure it all out.

In addition to blog changes, I am getting my dining room ready to paint. With some Christmas money I received, I purchased some paint and supplies. Painting that room is something I have wanted to do for a few years. I’m not sure how many nap times it will take to complete, but surely it won’t be too long.

My head is full of ideas for this blog, my home, my family and my life. I am hoping that some changes I plan to make will be for the better.

It looks great Jackie, keep working on it. I don’t mind the maintenance. Cute pajamas, too.

Thanks, Rachel! It’s definitely a work in progress.
