There are only three weeks left until the new year. Since starting my journey towards a more organized life and home I feel like I have accomplished much and at the same time still feel like there is much more I need to do.
Something that seems to be a constant battle for me is trying to tame the clutter monster. Clutter can be lurking anywhere. In closets, rarely used corners, or even right out in the open where everyone can see it. :)
This is an area of my kitchen that has long been an area where clutter just seems to multiply. I have been able to keep it pretty clear lately, but I have many other surfaces that look very similar.
We I have a problem with cluttering up counters, tables, or other flat surfaces. Why?
I have often said that creative and crafty people don’t have time to keep their houses clutter free. However, that is just an excuse. I really don’t want to have clutter.
So, what I am going to do to try to get rid of, or at least work on, my clutter problem? Spend 10 minutes each day decluttering.
I think that spending the next three weeks decluttering for 10 minutes is definitely going to be a worthwhile goal. I am not going to be counting how much I give away like I did last year. I simply want to work towards the goal of a tidy home that I don’t have to spend time cleaning in order to feel good about people visiting. I want it to be ready all of the time.
I will also be adding another glass of water to my routine for a total of 6 (8 oz.) glasses of water each day. It is really not as hard as I thought it would be to drink that much water. I usually measure out the water I need to drink each day.

Here’s hoping 10 minutes each day is enough to spend decluttering. It definitely can’t hurt. :)
