Pumpkins

Last week we were blessed by a neighbor who let us take all of the pumpkins that were left in their pumpkin patch. We ended up with about 25! My mom and brother took some, but we still have many left.

Even though we don’t really celebrate Halloween, we did have some fun carving pumpkins yesterday. (Check out my post on my other blog where I shared about my pumpkin children’s story.)

I think they look pretty cool all lit up. A reminder that we need to shine for Jesus.

It was a huge blessing to get so many pumpkins. I am going to have plenty of pumpkin to put in the freezer. I definitely have my work cut out for me.

Last year I wrote a post about how to puree a pumpkin and roast the seeds. Here is another variation for how to cook pumpkin.

I am definitely going to make some pumpkin butter. Yum!

I will also have to make some pumpkin soup and my grandma’s pumpkin cake.

What is your favorite pumpkin recipe?
