Sheet Folding Technique for Organized Storage

Do you ever get frustrated when your sheets sets get separated or come unfolded in your linen cabinet?

I have been folding my sheet sets the same way for many years and never have those problems. Maybe you will find this little tip to be useful.

I begin by folding my pillowcases and fitted sheet.

Then I fold the flat sheet until it is a thin rectangle. I do this by folding it in half lengthwise, then in half widthwise, and then fold it in half or fourths lengthwise depending on the size of the sheet.

Next, I place the pillowcases and fitted sheet on top of the flat sheet at the left side. (See picture above.)

Finally, I fold the whole thing to the right several times until it looks like this.

Clear as mud, right? That was harder to describe than I thought it would be. It really isn’t as difficult as I made it sound.

I like how nice and neat my sheet sets look when I fold them this way and how everything stays together. How do you fold your sheets?

I actually fold all of the sheets and put them inside of a pillow case then fold the pillow case over. Everything is neatly tucked inside of a pillowcase on the shelf.

I actually fold my sheets in a similar manner but I store them between the mattress and box springs. Then they are always there when I change the sheets out and are handy.

Hi, Shannan, I have not thought of storing sheets there. That would definitely be handy. Great idea!
