I have seen so many great miniature Christmas tree crafts this week on various blogs that I decided I needed to do a post linking to them. Before I get to the other links, I thought I would share two ideas for miniature Christmas trees that we made last year.
Last year I made this pine cone tree, but left it plain. This year I added a few artificial poinsettias and a bow. Here is a link to how I dried the pine cones.
My two youngest sons made this candy tree for their grandpa last year using sugar free mints. It took a lot of restraint on my part not to want to make it be perfect. They had fun and were so proud of themselves. I also shared how we made ornaments from melted mints in the same post.
Here are some links to some creative miniature Christmas trees from around the web. Feel free to leave me a comment if you know of other links.
- I have plenty of yarn lying around that would be perfect for making these yarn Christmas trees from Clean & Scentsible.
- These glitter Christmas trees from Lolly Jane Boutique remind me of a sparkly tree my grandparents set out every year at their house.
- These tissue paper trees from Mine for the Making were made with white tissue paper, but could be made using any color.
- These twine trees from Lemon Tree Creations look like they would be fun for my kids to help make.
- I like the simplicity of the burlap tree Janet of All Trades made.
- This button tree is totally cute from The Idea Attic.
- Here is a curly tree that uses construction paper from Marvelously Messy.
- This little tree was made from ruffled ribbon by Love Love.
- I think I have enough wool sweater scraps around that I might be able to make a felted wool tree like Lovely Nest Designs did.
