Recent Sewing

I just realized that I took over a week off from blogging. (not that anyone even noticed) :-) It wasn’t really a conscious break at first, but by Wednesday I just decided to wait until today to post again. I have enjoyed having my whole family home now that school is out. However, I have had to get used to a whole new routine. So, blogging got put on the back burner.

Today I wanted to share two projects I have recently completed. First, I made the other I-Spy mini quilt for my second son. (Here is the first one I made for my youngest son.) This quilt has squares that match, so it will hopefully be fun for him to find the pairs. The quilt measures 16″ x 19″.

A couple of months ago my mom was given several bags of fabric from her neighbor. She let me take whatever I wanted which was fun. My older two children loved picking out fabrics. My oldest son picked out all of the American fabric he could find. So, I made him this 12″ x 12″ pillow out of the fabrics he chose. I am not sure what I will do with the rest of the fabric he picked out.

very cute! the quilt and pillow both turned out so well! I'm sure it feels good to have finished a project :) I just saw pics of your blooming flowers in an earlier post…I so wish I had honeysuckle at my house! They smell so sweet.

Yay! You're back. We did too notice that you were MIA. :)

I noticed! Especially since I haven't tried any new recipes lately. (Even though we don't have any allergies here, I still like to experiment) Did you get a new blog for food? I know someone did, but I didn't bookmark it now I know I'm missing out somewhere, but don't know where :o (

Thanks, ladies. I appreciate that you read this blog and that you cared I hadn't posted recently. I have warm fuzzies now. :-)

Kelly, my new blog is http://cookallergyfree.blogspot.com. I will post a link on the sidebar. Thanks for the reminder.

    Jackie,
I did notice. I've check each day and today I thought…no spring flowers! Not that I didn't like them just chomping at the bit for my new Jackie news.

Thanks, Kerri! I guess I am glad that the flowers were what was at the top of my blog for a week. Pleasant to look at which is more than I can say for some of the pictures I have posted in the past. :-)
