15 Years Later

Fifteen years ago I woke up for the last time as an unmarried girl.  The day was cold, but there was a beautiful blanket of snow on the ground.  All of the months of preparation came down to that day.  I was going to get married and I felt like I was walking on air.

I spent the morning with my friends getting our hair done and getting makeovers.  We arrived at the church and I was so excited to put on my beautiful wedding gown.  I felt like a princess and sometimes can barely remember being that young girl of 21 who said “I do”.

This morning I awoke to my unborn baby kicking me and my two youngest boys tickling me.  I fixed breakfast for everyone and have been working around the house.

My hair hasn’t been fixed and I am quite certain I don’t look like a princess at all.  I had no idea what my life would be like today when I married my husband fifteen years ago.

However, I can’t imagine changing a thing.  Yes, things could have been easier at various points, but we have the family we do and the life we have because of what has happened through the years.

I can’t imagine anyone I would rather have spent the past fifteen years with.  I love you, JT.  Happy Anniversary!

Beautiful story - very, very happy for you and your hubby. My first time to your page, btw…found it through facebook in a link to allfreesewing (one of my favorite sites!). Love the remote control pillow. Oh…and tell your daughter I was also trying to figure out how to (and why a person would want to) remote control a pillow. Seriously. True story.

Thank you so much, Linda! I am so glad you stopped by. I am glad you liked the tutorial for the pillow even though the title was somewhat confusing. ;) Take care and I hope you will come back soon.
