We were gone for four days last week. I think we went at the right time because all of our produce is starting to be ready to pick now. There have been 18 zucchini picked from our garden so far. I have given away nine of them, but there are plenty for us to eat this week. We will definitely have zucchini on our menu.
We have also picked a few cucumbers. I am hopeful to have enough to make some pickles this year. If not, they will be tasty as is or marinated.
There is more broccoli that is ready to pick. Last year I shared a tutorial for how to freeze broccoli, if you are interested.
Our corn looks like it will be ready soon even though it is pretty short. I also wrote a tutorial on how to freeze corn last year.
There are even a few green beans that are ready to pick. When the green beans are ready full force we will be canning and freezing them.
Finally, here is my potato patch. They plants seem to be growing well. At the far end the butternut squash plant is really spreading out and there are even a few tiny squash visible now.
I am so excited about all of the fresh produce we will be eating in the next few weeks. How is your garden doing this week?
