We are still facing a drought so I have been having to water my garden. I am praying that we can get some measurable rain soon. So far, my garden has seemed to handle the dry weather and heat alright, but I am not sure if the same will be true as the summer goes on.
One good thing that has happened this week is that we were able to harvest our first zucchinis. We had fried zucchini a couple of days ago and it was so yummy.
Our corn has shot up these last couple of weeks. Janna looks so little next to it now.
The green beans are finally blooming. I have found that there must have been a different bean in the seeds we bought because one of the plants is vining. 🙂
My pepper plants are still kind of small, but a few of them have some little peppers on them. These are the cayenne peppers I planted.
My other garden plot is doing well. We had to add more dirt around the potatoes on Saturday. It was kind of tough because the ground is so hard. I am glad my husband was home to give me a hand.
Take a look at what I found growing, a tiny butternut squash.
We are getting to the time when gardening becomes fun because we are starting to reap the benefits of all of our hard work. Are you getting any produce out of your garden yet?
