Grape Jelly Recipe
  • 4 Cups Grape Juice
  • 3 Cups Sugar
  1. Wash grapes.
  2. Place grapes in a pan and add ½ - 1 cup water.
  3. Crush grapes.
  4. Bring grapes to a boil.
  5. Boil approximately 5 minutes.
  6. Pour grapes into a jelly strainer and let strain overnight.
  7. Take 4 cups of grape juice and place in a pan.
  8. Add 3 cups of sugar and mix well.
  9. Bring the mixture to a boil over high heat.
  10. Boil until mixture reaches 220 degrees Fahrenheit.
  11. Ladle jelly into hot jars.
  12. Wipe rims of jars.
  13. Add lids and rings.
  14. Place jars in a boiling water bath canner.
  15. Boil for 5 minutes.
  16. Remove jars from canner and place on a towel to cool.
  17. Allow jars to sit for 24 hours.
  18. Label and store jars.
To make blackberry jelly use this same method but with 5 cups of blackberry juice and 6 cups of sugar.
