This alphabet sensory box was a big success yesterday with my youngest preschoolers. I simply put a set of alphabet magnets in a box and added a bag of alphabet uncooked pasta. The children had fun using tongs and spoons to find the letters. I asked them to identify the letters as they found them.
To try to contain the mess that usually is associated with sensory boxes, I always put a sheet or shower curtain under the box. That way I am able to pour any spills right back into the box.
